Do med spa needles really need a medical waste service?

Yes. A used needle or cannula is a regulated sharp regardless of what was injected, and it needs a puncture-resistant container and a compliant route off site.

Are microneedling cartridges sharps?

Yes. Used cartridges and tips go into the sharps container, not the general waste bin.
