Definition
What is biohazardous waste?
Biohazardous waste is any solid or liquid waste that contains infectious or potentially infectious substances or materials.
In the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency and each individual state set the rules for how it is handled, packaged, transported and disposed of. So the same red bag can carry different obligations in Mobile than it does in Pensacola.
