Our home counties
Mobile County is a city county. Hospitals, specialist practices, dental offices, labs and a working port, most of it inside twenty minutes of the office on Brookdale Drive. Volume is steady and the schedule barely changes from one month to the next.
Baldwin County is the opposite. Small-town practices inland, and beach communities whose clinic load triples between May and September and then falls away. The same service covers both because the schedule moves when your volume does, and there is no contract locking you into a summer interval all winter.

Alabama rules
Medical waste in Alabama is regulated by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. Workplace exposure is OSHA's. A short guide to both.
The Medical Waste Program sits in Division 335-17 of the ADEM Administrative Code, setting minimum standards for storage, transport, treatment and disposal.
Vehicles carrying untreated medical waste in Alabama must be permitted by ADEM. It is a fair question to ask any hauler you are considering.
Every pickup should leave you a manifest and proof of legal destruction. BioMed provides both.
